Directors Welcome

Athletes, Coaches, Parents and
everyone else involved in the MRISA Sports Exchange,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the United Nations International School in Hanoi.  We sincerely hope that you enjoy your stay with us and that we manage to offer you a chance to appreciate the warmth of the local culture for those of you who are in Vietnam for the first time.

One of the greatest strengths of the MRISA organisation is that it fosters the belief that students can participate in structured sporting competition in a healthy and safe fashion.  The next few days will most certainly challenge your sporting prowess as well as your physical preparation, but at all times we would remind you why you are here; to represent your school and yourselves in the best possible manner.  Accordingly, we hope that you extend yourselves and strive to excel, but we also wish for you to enjoy yourselves and to enjoy the new friendships that are so much apart of the MRISA Senior Sports Exchange.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Physical Education teachers at UNIS for all of their hard work in preparing for this Sports Exchange, our families for opening their homes and hosting you and to your teachers for their hard work in preparing you and looking after you.

To all of you I extend a sincere UNIS welcome, “Chao mung cac ban da den truong Quoc Te lien Hop Quoc”. Play as hard as you can, be fair and honest and enjoy your time with us in the City of Peace.

Best regards,

Alun Cooper
Head of School
UNIS-Hanoi
